These walls remember more than the city does.

For years I came here. The halls filled with music, the staircases with voices – and I stood among them as one of a hundred guests. No one noticed what I left behind.

If you are reading this, you are curious enough. Look carefully at the stones, the ceilings, the faces carved above you. The house does not answer questions – it answers attention.

What explorers say

In their own words

I live two streets from the Vigadó and thought I knew it. I didn’t. The last reveal gave me goosebumps.
Dávid · 38 · Budapest
We did it as a date and ended up arguing about clues in the most beautiful hall I’ve ever seen. Will tell everyone.
Tamás & Réka · couple · Budapest
The best hour I spent in Budapest. I didn’t expect a game to move me – but the ending genuinely made me emotional.

What to know

Pace

01

Walking, looking, thinking

The game asks you to move through the halls, notice details, piece things together. No speed required – only attention.

When

02

Whenever you’re ready

Play any time the Vigadó is open to visitors. Your code doesn’t tie you to a booked time slot.

Pause

03

Stop, come back

Start now, take a lunch break, continue later. The house is patient – your code resumes right where you left off.

Hints

04

Three hints per task

If you get stuck, open a hint. The third one always reveals the answer itself.

Connection

05

Free Wi-Fi, low data

The Vigadó offers free Wi-Fi inside. The whole game is around 3 MB – fine on mobile data. No app, no registration.

Mode

06

Solo or together

Each player on their own phone with their own score – or one leader controls and everyone follows live on their own phone. Choose the mode when you join.

Before you begin

  • Can I play in bad weather?
Yes – the entire exploration happens inside the Vigadó’s covered halls. Weather is never a concern.
  • What if there’s an event at the Vigadó?
You buy your house ticket at the reception, and the public halls stay open during visitor hours. On rare occasions a specific room may be closed – the system then offers an alternate path.
  • Can I play alone?
Yes. The game is designed for 1–7 players – enjoyable solo, but often better shared with a partner or friends, where thinking together adds to it.
  • Is it suitable for children?
Recommended from age 12, but younger kids often come along as “assistant detectives”. The tasks rely on observation and logic – no prior knowledge or historical background needed.
  • How physical is it?
About 500 meters of walking on flat floors and stairs across several levels of the Vigadó. Partly accessible for people with reduced mobility – message us in advance and we’ll help arrange.
  • How do I receive the game code?
Within a few minutes of purchase, by email. Check your spam folder just in case – if you don’t see it within 10 minutes, write to us at hello@vigadomystery.cloud.
  • How long is my game code valid?
Your code works for 12 months from purchase – use it whenever you are ready, no deadline to rush.
  • Can I get a refund?
Full refund within 14 days if you haven’t used the code. The same applies to gift vouchers.
  • What languages is the game in?
Hungarian and English. You choose the language at the start – your code works in both, so the same group can even play in different languages if they prefer.

For someone else

Give a mystery,
not a voucher.

A sealed envelope, a code that unlocks a story. They redeem it whenever they like – tomorrow, or next autumn. It waits as patiently as the house does.
