The Vigadó mystery
A mystery game on your phone, played while walking through Budapest’s Pesti Vigadó. Following a forgotten letter, through a house that does not forget.
Or give it as a gift. Official mystery game · Pesti Vigadó
These walls remember more than the city does.
For years I came here. The halls filled with music, the staircases with voices – and I stood among them as one of a hundred guests. No one noticed what I left behind.
If you are reading this, you are curious enough. Look carefully at the stones, the ceilings, the faces carved above you. The house does not answer questions – it answers attention.

Frequently asked
Before you begin
-
Can I play in bad weather?Yes – the entire exploration happens inside the Vigadó’s covered halls. Weather is never a concern.
-
What if there’s an event at the Vigadó?You buy your house ticket at the reception, and the public halls stay open during visitor hours. On rare occasions a specific room may be closed – the system then offers an alternate path.
-
Can I play alone?Yes. The game is designed for 1–7 players – enjoyable solo, but often better shared with a partner or friends, where thinking together adds to it.
-
Is it suitable for children?Recommended from age 12, but younger kids often come along as “assistant detectives”. The tasks rely on observation and logic – no prior knowledge or historical background needed.
-
How physical is it?About 500 meters of walking on flat floors and stairs across several levels of the Vigadó. Partly accessible for people with reduced mobility – message us in advance and we’ll help arrange.
-
How do I receive the game code?Within a few minutes of purchase, by email. Check your spam folder just in case – if you don’t see it within 10 minutes, write to us at hello@vigadomystery.cloud.
-
How long is my game code valid?Your code works for 12 months from purchase – use it whenever you are ready, no deadline to rush.
-
Can I get a refund?Full refund within 14 days if you haven’t used the code. The same applies to gift vouchers.
-
What languages is the game in?Hungarian and English. You choose the language at the start – your code works in both, so the same group can even play in different languages if they prefer.
